Passport services of the Department of Foreign Affairs offices around Metro Manila will resume on Jan. 5, 2015.

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Tuesday announced that its Metro Manila offices will be closed for the holidays.

In a statement, DFA Assistant Secretary Wilfredo Santos of the agency's Office of Consular Affairs said that its Aseana and Macapagal Boulevard will be closed from Dec. 24, 2014 to Jan. 4, 2015 except for December 29.

"There shall be no passport processing, releasing and other related services during those dates," he said.

Its Metro Manila satellite offices will also be closed for the holidays except on December 29. Branches will resume services on Jan. 5, 2015.

Santos also advised the public to address their passport-related inquiries by sending an email to passportconcerns@dfa.gov.ph.

The agency expressed gratitude to the public for its "cooperation and support" the past year.

"The DFA remains committed to providing effective, efficient and prompt services to the Filipino people," it said.
