Weaker 'Ruby' closest to Metro Manila tonight
MANILA, Philippines - A weaker Typhoon "Ruby" will pass near Metro Manila as it makes its third landfall in Northern Mindoro on Monday night.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported that as of 7 a.m., the eye of the typhoon was located at 70 kilometers northeast of Romblon, Romblon or 60 kilometers southeast of Torrijos, Marinduque.
It weakened while traversing Sibuyan Sea, now packing 120 kilometers per hour with gustiness of up to 150 kph.
It was moving west northwest at 10 kph.
PAGASA said the typhoon will get closer to Metro Manila as it slams into Northern Mindoro between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.

PAGASA said areas under the storm signals should be on alert against landslides, flashfloods and storm surges between two and three meters.
It said the estimated rainfall amount within the typhoon's 450-kilometer diamater radius will experience is moderate to heavy.
The typhoon is expected exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Thursday morning.
