MANILA, Philippines - Inmates at the New Bilibi Prison (NBP) in Muntinlupa City will give a gift to Pope Francis during his visit in the country, January next year.
NBP chaplain Monsignor Bobby Olaguer said that the inmates have been preparing a present for the Pope despite the uncertainty of his visit to the NBP compound.
Base on records, there are 14,000 inmates at the NBP maximum security detention compound.
Last September, the inmates wrote to Pope Francis, calling on the Catholic Church leader to drop by at the detention compound to check their condition during his visit from January 15 to January 19, 2015.
