DOLE’s online job facilitation program now with free app
MANILA, Philippines - The government’s job facilitation service has leveled up.
Labor Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz said a mobile application for the Phil-JobNet, the government’s online job facilitation program, is now available for download for free.
“The enhanced Phil-JobNet has evolved even more. It is now more user-friendly and available in Google Play Store, for free,” Baldoz said.
She said the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)’s web-based job matching facility has a mobile application to make it easier for the youth to look for jobs.
“The enhanced Phil-JobNet is now in full operation and complete with its enriched features that will enable jobseekers to efficiently look for the right job on a 24/7 basis, even while on the go,” Baldoz said.
Baldoz said jobseekers can just simply download and install the application at Google Play Store, and they can instantly search for the best jobs with the use of their tablets and smartphones in seconds.
“The new application would remarkably help our youth create sound career paths; jobseekers to find decent employment opportunities corresponding to their available skills; and industries to fill their manpower needs,” she said.
With the help of the private sector, Baldoz said the DOLE developed the Phil-JobNet mobile application.
So far, a thousand users have downloaded the mobile app, which has recorded an approval rating of 4.2 out of the maximum five stars.
