MANILA, Philippines - More than 2,000 out of 3,661 examinees passed the licensure examination for electrical engineers, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) said yesterday.
Victor Medina, a graduate of Saint Louis University, topped the examination with a score of 91.85 percent. De La Salle University graduate Kenneth Lazo placed second with a score of 90.95 percent, while University of the Philippines graduate Peter Filemon Fabricante landed in third place with a grade of 90.45 percent.
The PRC said 2,190 out of 3,661 examinees passed the examinations held in Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legaspi, Lucena and Zamboanga.
Bicol University graduate Kevin Briton and Ryan Diones of Camarines Norte State College were tied in the fourth slot after they scored 90.15 percent.
Fifth placer was Xavier University graduate Gratz Dale Noel Redoble, who scored 89.90 percent, followed in sixth by Cebu Institute of Technology graduate Emmanuel Decena, who got a score of 89.55 percent.
Another Bicol University graduate John Anthony Dy landed in seventh place with a grade of 89.40 percent, followed by Mapua Institute of Technology graduate Jefferson Joseph Avanzado in eighth with a score of 89.30 percent.
Silliman University graduate Isser Kadusale and University of Mindanao graduate Prince Rainier Yamyamin shared the ninth spot as they scored 89.15 percent. Central Mindanao University graduate Jared Chuchapin ranked 10th with 89.10 percent.
Meanwhile, the PRC will conduct a special licensure examination for overseas Filipino workers employed as mechanical engineers, electronics technician, electronics engineers, civil engineers and electrical engineers.
The special licensure examination will be held in Riyadh and Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia; Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates and Doha, Qatar next month.
