Another whistleblower to testify in Revilla bail hearing
MANILA, Philippines — Government prosecutors are expected to present to the Sandiganbayan today another whistleblower in the P10 billion pork barrel scam at the bail hearing of Senator Ramon Revilla Jr.
The prosecution panel is set to call to the witness stand Merlina Sunas, a former project coordinator of businesswoman Janet Napoles, before the First Division of the anti-graft court, chaired by Associate Justice Efren dela Cruz.
State prosecutors had earlier presented the nephew and another employee of Napoles, Benhur Luy, who testified on the files he kept in a hard disc drive regarding some of the non-government organizations formed by aunt.
Prosecutors also called in to the witness stand National of Bureau of Investigation agent Joey Narciso of Cybercrime Division testify on the authenticity of the so-called Luy files.
Revilla, now detained at the Philippine National Police Custodial Center in Camp Crame, faces plunder and graft charges for his alleged involvement in the multi-billion peso scam, purportedly masterminded by Napoles.
