MANILA, Philippines - A graduate of Mapua Institute of Technology topped the licensure examination for geologists.
Andrew Serrano led the over 200 examinees with a score of 87.30 percent.
University of the Philippines graduate Jeffrey Munar placed second with a grade of 87.20 percent.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) said 125 out of 234 examinees passed the licensure examination held in Manila.
Another UP graduate, Lawrence Daniel Guidote, ranked third with a grade of 83.40 percent, followed by another Mapua graduate, Kimberly Vitto, in fourth spot with a score of 83.10 percent.
John Danilooff Mangawil of Mapua placed fifth at 83 percent. UP graduate Karmina Aquino was sixth with 82.80 percent.
Seventh placer Lawrence Custodio of UP had a score of 82.30 percent and another UP graduate, Reymar Diwa, ranked eighth with 82.20 percent.
Two more UP graduates, Krissen Marie Agustin and April Ondona, placed ninth and tenth with scores of 81.90 percent and 81.80 percent.
Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration is on Sept. 8.
Successful examinees must personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
