LPA exits Phl

MANILA, Philippines - The low-pressure area that brought heavy rains over some parts of the country including Metro Manila these past few days has left the Philippine area of responsibility, the state weather bureau said yesterday.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the low-pressure area was last spotted yesterday morning some 640 kilometers west of Baguio City.

 The weather system will no longer affect any part of the country, although isolated thunderstorms might still be experienced in some areas.

The Caraga and Davao regions will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms until today, the agency said.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.

No other weather disturbance is expected to enter the Philippine area of responsibility until Friday, PAGASA said.

Coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate.
