Graft, plunder raps filed vs Alan Cayetano, wife
MANILA, Philippines — A law professor filed graft and plunder complaints against Senate Majority Floor Leader Alan Peter Cayetano and his wife, Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano, before the Office of the Ombudsman on Wednesday.
Roderick Vera, who leads lawyers group Philippine Association for the Advocacy of Civil Liberties, brought stacks of papers to support his arguments alleging various irregularities committed by the couple.
He also accused the couple of purchasing 18 "overpriced" multicabs, bought for $11,381 each, using the senator's P9-million allocation in Priority Development Assistance Funds or pork barrel in 2012.
