MANILA, Philippines — The Aquino administration has released the list of projects funded under the Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP), following the President's televised address on Monday night defending yet again the controversial stimulus package.
According to the list, there were a total of 116 projects and the proposed funding for them under the DAP amounted to P167.061 billion.
Allotment releases, however, reached only P144.378 billion.
The listed projects include those implemented between October 2011 and June 2013.
Budget and Technical Service Assistant Director Amanella Arevalo prepared the list, which was noted by Budget Secretary Florencio Abad.
The DAP is a stimulus package introduced by the Aquino administration in 2011 designed to fast-track public spending and push economic growth. It reallocates savings generated by the government to fund other programs and projects.
The Supreme Court has ruled that key parts of the DAP violated the constitution. The court decision ignited criticisms against President Aquino and Abad, the supposed architect of the DAP.
Malacañang said the Department of Budget and Management will launch a website dedicated to all issues regarding the DAP.
