Sex video a 'fake' -De Lima

MANILA, Philippines — "I'm sure that's a fake."

Justice Secretary Leila de Lima disputed the authenticity of a sex video former jueteng scandal whistleblower Sandra Cam threatened to release to implicate the Cabinet official.

De Lima said in a radio interview she is confident Cam is in no possession of a material intended to block her confirmation before the Commission on Appointments (CA).

The justice secretary also said she will not further comment on Cam's allegations as they pertain to her personal life.

Releasing a private video of any kind, moreover, is a violation of the Anti-Voyeurism Law, De Lima said.

Despite Cam's statements, the CA plenary confirmed De Lima's appointment after four years as head of the justice department.
