PNoy approves promotion of 7 more PNP officials

MANILA, Philippines - President Benigno Aquino III has approved the promotion of seven more police generals assigned to key positions in the Philippine National Police Directorial Staff and National Support Units.

During simple ceremonies at the PNP headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City, PNP chief director general Alan Purisima formalized the promotion of seven star-rank police officials.

Aside from Purisima, the promotions were approved upon the recommendation of Interior and Local Government Secretary and National Police Commission chairman Mar Roxas.

Promoted to the rank of Police Director (Major General) were Police Director Rodrigo De Gracia (The Director for Information and Communications Technology Management), Police Director Getulio Napeñas (Director, Special Action Force) and Police Director Melito Mabilin (Director, Civil Security Group).

The following were promoted to the rank of Police Chief Superintendent (Brigadier General) :

- Chief Superintendent Ulysses Abellera (Secretary to the Directorial -Staff)

-Chief Superintendent Theresa Ann Cid (Director, Crime Laboratory Group)

-Chief Superintendent Neri Ilagan (The Director for Integrated Police Operations – North Luzon)

-Chief Superintendent Nestor Quinsay Jr. (Director, Police Community Relations Group).
