Napoles ready for discharge

MANILA, Philippnes - Alleged pork scam mastermind  Janet Lim Napoles is now ready for discharge from the Ospital (Osmak) her doctors said Tuesday.

"We like to reiterate that she is fully recovered, she is ambulating, say for minimal wound pains, her condition is now stable," said her gynecologist  Dr. Efren Domingo.

Domingo told reporters that Napoles no longer needs post-operative treatment.

"Based on our surgical and gynecological, she's able to walk. She's all right, and fully recovered. We are giving a clearance, as for other aspects, we leave it to the authorities," Domingo said.

Domingo said that Napoles is just waiting for her endocronological clearance before she is released.

"Endocrinological clearance, optimization of the blood sugar, we know she is a diabetic. By far, over the past 30 days, the blood sugar is still showing abnormal elevated levels up to 300 on two occassions. Recently we have observed a good control," he said.

Meanwhile, Dr. Elsie Pascua, Napoles' other gynecologist said Napoles needs at least two to three months to fully recover before she could face any hearing on the pork barrel scam.

"Probably after two to three months, two to three months, it would be the best time for her to face any hearing," she said.

Pascua added that it would be better for Napoles to  execute a written testimony as there is no time pressure on her.

Pascua said that should all the hospital clearances be secured, Napoles could be immediately released.
