Airport employees recognized for returning lost items
MANILA, Philippines - The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) handed out certificates of appreciation for honest employees and individuals who turned over lost items found in the airport.
Loida Villablanca, a job order personnel (JOP) was awarded during the MIAA's flag raising ceremony on Monday after assisting on-the-job trainees in turning over P34,200 found in a wallet at the departure area of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 on April 8, 2013.
APO1 Arnold O. Pacis and APO1 Jose A. Bariuan, were also awarded for finding and returning a laptop of a Korean national. APO1 Bernick Leano and security guard Rio Onse were also recognized for returning a sling bag containing important documents; and Ricardo Villanueva, driver of Jorivim Coupon Taxi, was awarded for turning over to the airport's Lost and Found Section one backpack left in his taxicab on March 12, 2014.
Gerardo Bendicio, a well-wisher at the NAIA Terminal 1, was recognized for returning a brown wallet containing cash and important documents which he found at the parking area of NAIA Terminal 1 last March 22.
Raymond Manoto of Excellent Workers Multi-Purpose Cooperative was also awarded for turning over a blue jacket with cash on April 9, 2014; Sonny Boy Corteza of the Department of Transportation and Communications, for recovering a belt bag containing some P50,000 cash at the NAIA Terminal 3 on June 28, 2013; and APO2 Domingo V. Salamanca, Airport Police Department, for helping recover an iPhone 3 snatched last April 4 at MIA Road corner Electrical Road in Pasay City were also recognized.
