The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines —One of the seven respondents named in  grave coercion case filed by Vhong Navarro posted bail before the Taguig Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 74 on Tuesday, reports said.

Jed Fernandez, an alleged cohort of businessman Cedric Lee and model Deniece Cornejo, posted P12,000 in bail around 9 a.m. following an arrest warrant released by the court last Friday.

Fernandez, Lee, Cornejo, and four others are accused of forcing Navarro to admit to raping the model in her condominium unit after they beat him up last January 22.

They also face charges for serious illegal detention, a non-bailable offense. Arrest warrants for which have not yet been issued.

The rest of the accused are expected to pay the sum  this week in exchange for temporarily liberty. - Camille Diola
