Muntinlupa bettor claims P250-M lotto pot
MANILA, Philippines - A 59-year-old female office employee from Muntinlupa City claimed yesterday morning the more than P250-million jackpot of the 6/55 Grand Lotto draw of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) that she won last Monday night.
PCSO general manager Jose Ferdinand Rojas II said the lone Grand Lotto winner placed her P20 bet at the lotto outlet on Pio del Pilar Street in Makati.
Rojas said the bettor picked the winning number combination 39-21-42-28-5-27 using the birth dates and ages of her children and husband.
Rojas said 25 players won P169,410 each of the Grand Lotto’s second prize and 2,700 winners of the P1,250 third prize.
Rojas said the P250-million lotto winner has been placing bets since 1996.
The winner told PCSO officials that she intends to use her winnings to buy a house and lot and spend for her children’s education needs.
Last April 1, a 32-year-old businessman from San Fernando, Pampanga won the P63-million million Super Lotto pot. The winner is married with two children.
According to Rojas, the winning bettor placed a P40 bet with the combination 9-13-17-20-22-29 based on a dream. The winner has been playing the lotto for the past 13 years.
The winner said he plans to use his winnings to expand his trading business and will save part of the money for his children.
