MANILA, Philippines — President Benigno Aquino III said he has spoken with Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief of Staff Gen. Emmanuel Bautista to start enacting reforms in the Philippine Military Academy (PMA).
Aquino said the AFP's report on the investigation on the case of dismissed PMA Cadet Jeff Aldrin Cudia submitted to him for action is deficient.
"Merong mga points na hindi natalakay doon sa kanilang investigation report," Aquino said, adding that he ordered the AFP and PMA to revise it first.
Cudia missed the graduation rites last March 16, where he was supposed to march as among the top students in his class.
Aquino said that Cudia's case also points to needed improvements.
"Kailangan itong mga points na nakita natin sa pag-i-interview kay Cadet Cudia and others including the PMA hierarchy, may mga kailangang iayos sa sistema at dapat parang bigyan ninyo ako ng roadmap na iaayos itong mga nakita nating may mga kailangang paigtingin o pagbutihin sa palakad dito sa PMA," Aquino said, as quoted in a radio report. - Camille Diola
