NBI: No info yet on Deniece, Cedric flight to Singapore

MANILA, Philippines - The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has yet to get confirmation on reports that Deniece Cornejo and Cedric Lee have booked for a flight to Singapore next month, a bureau official said on Wednesday.

NBI-National Capital Region director Vicente de Guzman said the agency is focused on its investigation into the mauling of TV host Vhong Navarro as of the moment.

De Guzman added that other law enforcement agencies could look into the veracity of the report.

Quoting sources, reports said that Cornejo and Lee booked for flight to Singapore on February 6.

The NBI has already filed criminal cases against Cornejo, Lee and several others in connection with the beating up of Navarro last January 22 inside Forbeswood Heights condominium at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City.

Navarro alleged that he was invited by Cornejo to come to her unit, but was surprised to see that two men were already inside the room when he arrived.

Lee and three others arrived minutes after and beat him up. Navarro alleged that Lee's group threatened to hurt his family if he would not give P1 million.

Cornejo, in a TV interview, claimed that Navarro tried to rape her and that Lee and his group came to her defense that night.
