Davao grad tops exam for dentists

MANILA, Philippines - A graduate of a medical school in Davao topped the dentist licensure examination, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced yesterday.

Edienson Cabillar of Davao Medical School Foundation got a score of 83.30 percent, the highest of 580 examinees who took the examination in Manila this month.

Centro Escolar University (CEU) graduate Trisha Marie San Jose placed second with a grade of 83.23 percent, followed by University of the Philippines -Manila graduate Maria Rhodora de Fiesta, with 82.93 percent.

Another CEU graduate Norgeraldine Pallon and UP-Manila’s Anna Dominique Salvador shared fourth spot with a score of 82.90 percent.

Cebu Doctors University graduate Chiara Gail Cabuguas and UP graduate Rizael Castro were tied at fifth with 82.67 percent.

In sixth place was Kathleen Chloe Mascardo of Davao Medical Foundation with 82.64 percent, while UP’s Catherine Luna ranked seventh with 82.60 percent.

Alvin Reate of University of the East ranked eighth with 82.44 percent and another UP graduate Dan Paolo Jorquia landed in ninth place with 82. 03 percent.

In 10th place was UP graduate Nestlie Mae Diaz with 81.97 percent.

Registration for the issuance of professional identification card and certificate of registration will be on Jan. 3, 2014.
