MANILA, Philippines - The Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines will give a psychological training to volunteers helping survivors of super typhoon Yolanda this coming Saturday, Nov. 30.
Manila Auxiliary Bishop Broderick Pabillo, CBCP-National Secretariat for Social Action Justice and Peace chairman, said Yolanda volunteers will undergo psychological first aid training to give counselling to survivors in handling trauma and stress.
Pabillo said there is no educational qualification or experience required of those who want to help the Yolanda affected families.
He said even priests, laity, and members of religious organizations who want to help in the speedy recovery of the survivors from their traumatic experience are welcome to join the training.

"Inaanyayahan natin ang mga pari at layko na gustong tumulong doon na bibigyan sila ng training kung paano ba sila haharap sa mga biktima. Iyon ang training na gagawin natin sa workers na pupunta sa Visayas at makikiisa sa kanila, yung psychological first aid training ng Simbahan," the prelate said.
The training will be held at the St. Joseph College along E.Rodriguez Avenue, Quezon City.
