MANILA, Philippines - President Aquino appointed former civil defense official Ariel Nepomuceno as deputy commissioner of the Bureau of Customs (BOC) Enforcement Group on Nov. 8.
Nepomuceno replaced former Armed Forces chief Jessie Dellosa, who was appointed to the post last month.
Dellosa will now be the deputy commissioner for Intelligence Group. He held the post in an acting capacity since Danilo Lim resigned in July.
Nepomuceno, a member of Philippine Military Academy Class of 1987, is the former director and executive officer of the Office of Civil Defense of the Department of National Defense.
His appointment was transmitted to Finance Secretary Cesar Purisima, whose department has jurisdiction over the BOC.
