Good weather in next 3 days – Pagasa

Ghio Ong, Helen Flores - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Fair weather will prevail over most parts of the country in the next three days as the low-pressure area off Puerto Princesa City, Palawan exited yesterday, the state weather bureau said.

Glaiza Escullar, weather forecaster of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), said no weather disturbance is expected to affect the country in the next three days.

However, she said Filipinos can expect humid weather and isolated rains over the eastern section of Luzon and the Visayas due to the easterlies or warm air from the Pacific Ocean.

The regions of Cagayan Valley, Bicol and eastern Visayas and the province of Aurora will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms.

The northeast monsoon or the cold air from China and Siberia is affecting extreme northern Luzon, Escullar said.

The weather agency expects the “re-intensification” of the northeast monsoon next week.

Escullar said the country will experience cold days beginning mid-December up to February as the northeast monsoon peaks.

PAGASA also expects up to two more cyclones to affect the country before the end of the year.
