PNoy casts vote in Tarlac for barangay polls
MANILA, Philippines - President Benigno Aquino III voted in the 2013 barangay elections in his home province Tarlac before Monday noon.
Aquino cast his vote at Central Azucarera de Tarlac Elementary School in Tarlac City around 11 a.m. He was accompanied by his sister Ballsy Aquino-Cruz.
Live television feeds showed that there were no long lines in Aquino's polling precinct, enabling the President and his sister to cast their ballots immediately.
Aquino only took a few minutes to vote and left the polling area right after.
Meanwhile, television reports said Vice President Jejomar Binay voted at the San Antonio National High School in Makati City.
Reports also said former president and now Manila Mayor Joseph Ejercito Estrada voted at the Padre Burgos Elementary School.
