Court resets Napoles arraignment to Sept 23
MANILA, Philippines - A Makati City court on Friday moved to September 23 the arraignment of alleged pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim-Napoles.
The court moved the arraignment as Makati City Regional Trial Court Branch 150 Judge Elmo Alameda has yet to resolve several motions, such as the bill of particulars, filed by the lawyers of Napoles regarding the serious illegal detention case filed by pork barrel scam whistleblower Benhur Luy.
Napoles was supposed to be arraigned on Monday, September 9 at 1:30 p.m.
Luy, a relative of Napoles, filed the same case against Reynaldo Lim, who remains at large.
Authorities have transferred Napoles from the Makati City Jail to Fort Sto. Domingo, a police camp in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
