Cebu ship collision death toll reaches 101

MANILA, Philippines - The official death toll in the sinking of passenger ferry M/V St. Thomas Aquinas on Aug. 16 off Talisay, Cebu has risen to 101.

Navy spokesman Lt. Commander Gregory Fabic said search and retrieval operations went on yesterday for the remaining 36 missing  passengers and crewmen.

Fabic said at about 3:39 p.m. yesterday three more bodies trapped in the ferry were recovered on the ship’s passenger cabin by Navy divers and volunteer groups, including a Korean team.
