Napoles petition vs arrest warrant raffled to CA 4th Division
MANILA, Philippines - The petition filed by businesswoman Janet Lim Napoles against the warrant of arrest issued against her by a Makati City court has been raffled to the Court of Appeals' 4th Division.
The petition for certiorari filed by Lim before the appellate court was raffled to the 4th Division on Thursday.
The court's chairperson is Associate Justice Amelita Tolentino and its special member is Associate Justice Angelita Gacutan.
Associate Justice Ramon Garcia, meanwhile, has been assigned as the "ponente."
While in hiding, Napoles asked the appellate through her lawyer to issue a temporary restraining order on the warrant of arrest issued against her and her brother, Jojo Lim by the Makati City Regional Trial Court Branch 150.
The warrant of arrest is based on the case of serious illegal detention filed by pork barrel scam whistleblower Benhur Luy against the siblings.
Luy had tag Napoles as the mastermind in the multi-billion peso pork barrel scam involving several congressmen and senators.
