All winning senators filed SOCE
MANILA, Philippines - All winning senators were able to file their Statement of Contributions and Expenditures (SOCE), the Commission on Elections (Comelec) said yesterday.
Comelec Commissioner Christian Lim, Campaign Finance Unit (CFU) head, said: “As early as Friday, all winning senators were already able to comply.â€
Political parties have also filed their SOCEs so the Comelec is now going over the party-list and the losing candidates, Lim said.
The SOCEs that other candidates had filed were lacking taxpayer’s information number, copy of the receipt issued to contributors and invoice of expenses incurred.
Candidates did not also sign their SOCEs.
Under a Comelec resolution, filing a deficient SOCE is not filing the document at all.
