MANILA, Philippines - President Benigno Aquino III confirmed on Monday that he has offered Cabinet positions to outgoing Senators Panfilo Lacson and Francis Pangilinan.
Aquino, however, did not provide details of his offer to the two lawmakers who will end their terms as senators this month.
"Alam mo sabi nga nila, ‘yung details dapat ay hinog na hinog," Aquino said in a televised press briefing.
"Nagkasundo kami in general, pero wala pa doon sa specifics. Para maliwanag lang ang ating terms of engagement," he added.
Lacson had served under the government's executive branch as a former chief of the Philippine National Police.
He also headed the now-defunct Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Task Force during the administration of former President Joseph Estrada.
Pangilinan, on the other hand, had served as a Quezon City Councilor before becoming a lawmaker.
