MANILA, Philippines - Preciosa Soliven, president of the O.B. Montessori Child and Community Foundation, Inc. (OBMCCFI) and Brig. Gen. Normando Sta. Ana, commander of the AFP Medical Center, recently inaugurated the newly renovated Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the V. Luna Hospital.
Sta. Ana and his staff, led by Regina Canonizado and Fatima Navarro, sought the help of non-government organizations in improving the hospital.
The OBMCCFI, through its officers and CAT student leaders, adopted the NICU and funded the renovation to provide state-of-the-art facilities and equipment that would ensure quality service for the children of the Filipino soldiers.
OBMCCFI was founded in 1983. It made Montessori education affordable to more than 150 Pagsasarili Preschools all over the country in coordination with local government units.
The partnership between OBMCCFI and AFPMC was initiated by Lt. Col. Dennis Eclarin, chief of peace and development center of the AFP.
