MANILA, Philippines - Three more millionaire senators have filed their Statements of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN).
In his SALN, Sen. Teofisto Guingona III's net worth went down by at least P40 million in 2012 compared to the previous year due to the senator's and his wife's incurred liabilities through surety this year.
The senator revealed in his SALN filed last April 29 that his net worth in 2012 was at P43,496,472.16, lower than his 2011's net worth pegged at P82.5 million.
His SALN showed an increase in surety liabilities with the Bank of the Philippine Islands, Allied Banking Corporan, Maybank Philippines Inc., as part of his liabilities totaling to P 68.205 million.
Guingona listed as part of his personal properties stocks at P75.614-million; cash at P27-million; furniture, P1-million; jewelry P200,000; books, P300,000; club membership, P385,000; private insurance at P2.415-million or a subtotal of P82.184 million.
Guingona’s real estate properties and buildings are located in Antipolo, Baguio City, Bataan, General Santos City, Cagayan de Oro City, Sta. Rosa, Laguna, Pasay City, which all totaled in acquisition costs of P29.518-million.
As of Dec. 31, 2012, Guingona listed 10 companies where he has placed substantial investments since 1989 to present. These involve a total of P75.614-million in investments at Tierra Minerva Properties Development Company; Guimaras Realty Inc; Southern Flagship Realty, Inc; First Tropical Blooms Inc; Flavortrade, Inc.; Firm Builders Relaty Development Corp.; Sta. Lucia Investments Inc, Ayala Land, Ayala Corporation, and Ayala Corporation Preferred shares.
Senators Bong Revilla and Sergio Osmeña III also made their respective SALNs available for scrutiny of the media. They followed first filers -- Senators Loren Legarda, Antonio Trillanes IV and Chiz Escudero.
Revilla’s total assets was placed at P251,778,835.51 and his liabilities were pegged at P82,637,448.60, making his total net worth with actress-turned-politician wife, Cavite Rep. Lani Mercado at P 169.141-million.
In 2011, the Revillas’ combined net worth was pegged at P125.7-million.
Osmeña's net worth, meanwhile, was placed at P111.779-million for 2012.
Osmeña's assets totaling P115.879-million included cash and securities, various cars such as a 2005 Volvo XC, 2010 Toyota Hi Ace; some equipment, furniture, art, a personal closet and jewelry.
Osmeña listed about P4.1-million in various loans and payables.
The senator also has various lots in Batangas, Laguna, Cebu, Talisay City, Bacolod and Escalante City.
