Jamby consistently attending campaign sorties

MANILA, Philippines - Former senator Ma. Ana Consuelo “Jamby” Madrigal is among the few administration senatorial candidates who consistently attend the sorties of Team PNoy in the final stretch of the campaign.

Madrigal, who boasts of a 98 to 99 percent attendance rate at the sorties, was the lone Team PNoy bet present during yesterday’s rally in Ozamis City where the President was on hand.

She emphasized the need for a comprehensive solution to the power crisis in Mindanao, which she said should not be limited to hydropower.

“Because of climate change, we should face the fact that hydropower cannot be the lone source of power here. We should explore other indigenous sources such as solar, wind, ocean and thermal and other traditional energy sources such as coal and diesel power plants,” Madrigal said.

She failed to attend Team PNoy’s sortie in Maasin, Southern Leyte because it was her birthday.

However, former senator Ramon Magsaysay Jr., Bam Aquino and former Akbayan party-list representative Risa Hontiveros were present at the rally.
