It’s just heatstroke – JV
MANILA, Philippines - Senatorial candidate San Juan Rep. JV Ejercito Estrada yesterday dispelled rumors that he had suffered a stroke during the campaign.
“It’s just heat stroke,†Ejercito said.
Ejercito has been hospitalized since Monday at the Cardinal Santos Medical Center for heatstroke and fatigue but is recovering well, his statement read.
He had been suffering from high fever since Saturday during the campaign sortie of the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) in the Ilocos region.
“He would like to thank his supporters who continue to campaign for him in his absence,†his statement read.
Ejercito said he is looking forward to hitting the road again, particularly on the last stretch of the campaign with barely two weeks before on May 13 elections.
