Legarda: This is my last campaign

DAVAO CITY, Philippines – Re-electionist Sen. Loren Legarda said she is working hard even if she consistently leads pre-election surveys because it is her “last campaign.”

Legarda told The STAR over the weekend that she would no longer run for higher office in future elections.

“I have accepted that I would just be senator and not a higher position,” she said, referring to her defeat to fellow broadcaster and former vice president Noli de Castro in the 2004 elections.
