One killed, 3 wounded in Bukidnon clash

COTABATO CITY, Philippines (Xinhua) - One leftist rebel was killed while three policemen were injured in today's clash in Bukidnon.

Troops belonging to the 104th Regional Public Safety Battalion were patrolling Sagaran village when they were attacked by New People's Army rebels, said Senior Superintendent Orlando Binas, also provincial police commander director.

Binas said a brief firefight ensued, leaving one rebel dead and three soldiers wounded. He said the wounded soldiers are now safe, adding that the troops are now pursuing the rebels.
