Chiz gets support of colleagues

POLANGUI, Albay , Philippines– Embattled re-electionist Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero yesterday got support from three colleagues in the senatorial ticket of the administration coalition Team PNoy following allegations that he showed disrespect to the parents of his girlfriend actress Heart Evangelista.

“I have not known him to be disrespectful to others. And I don’t think he has ever been rude to anyone,” said Aurora Rep. Sonny Angara, a Team PNoy senatorial bet.

Former Las Piñas Rep. Cynthia Villar, also a Team PNoy Senate aspirant, advised Escudero to resolve the issue since Filipinos have a very family-oriented culture.

Anoher Team PNoy bet Grace Poe said that she is willing to provide testimony to disprove the allegations of couple Rey and Cecil Ongpauco, parents of Evangelista.

“I have not known him to be disrespectful especially to parents,” she said.
