Migz: I’m not backing out of UNA

MANILA, Philippines - UNA senatorial candidate Migz Zubiri slammed yesterday his critics for spreading text messages that he was backing out of the party, signaled by his absence in UNA’s sortie in Balanga, Bataan.

Zubiri, who was represented by his friend Ernest Herrera in the Bataan sortie, said he was absent because his youngest sister got married in Albay.

He said the dirty tricks department of the ruling Liberal Party (LP) is trying to discredit him and UNA.

Zubiri said he had been attending UNA sorties since their proclamation rally in Cebu last Feb. 12.

“Let us campaign not on mudslinging but through platforms and programs,” he said.
