UP grad tops architect licensure exams
MANILA, Philippines - A graduate of the University of the Philippines-Diliman topped the licensure examination for architects, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced yesterday.
Rhoupheline Aya Cruz led more than 1,500 architecture graduates who took the licensure examination with a score of 87.60 percent.
Of the 1,557 examinees, the PRC said only 816 passed the licensure examination held in Manila last week.
Florence Reyes, also of UP-Diliman, and Earlwin Jerome Tee of the University of Santo Tomas placed second with a score of 86.50 percent.
Eric Yadao of Tarlac State University ranked third with a grade of 86.20 percent followed by UST graduates Jose Crisanto Estrella III and Mary Grace Te who both scored 85.10 percent.
UP graduates Mary Joan Allas and Sean Lemuel Su shared fifth spot with a grade of 84.80 percent while Jose Ignacio Faustino of UST and Aldrin Liangco of Don Honorio Ventura Technological State University were tied at sixth slot with a score of 84.40 percent.
Sharing seventh spot were Technological University of the Philippines graduate Daryl Van Abaygar, UP’s Ricah Diana Galvez and Technological Institute of the Philippines’ Tito Robles Jr., who all obtained a grade of 84.20 percent.
UP graduates Alvin Trinidad and Angelica Tesoro took the eighth and ninth spots, respectively.
Ma. Angelica Sharmane Coquilla of UP, Nelson Roquero of UST and Lisa Marie Tana of Batangas State University ranked tenth with a grade of 83.70 percent.
PRC said the two-day registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will start on Feb. 7.
285 new physical therapists
Meanwhile, PRC announced yesterday that 285 out of 579 passed the licensure examination for physical therapists while 32 out of 64 passed as occupational therapists.
