P-Noy to visit Cebu today

CEBU CITY, Philippines – President Aquino is expected to visit this city today.

The President said he would grace the launch of the operations of Austal, an Australian shipbuilding company, at West Cebu Industrial Park in Balamban town at 10 a.m.

After the Balamban event, Aquino will proceed to Mandaue Sports and Cultural Center together with the senatorial candidates of the administration party.

Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia who has been suspended for six months by the Office of the President, said the President is welcome if he wishes to visit the Cebu provincial capitol.

Garcia said Cebuanos would extend due respect to the nation’s highest official.

Aquino earlier said there is no need to forcibly remove Garcia from the capitol, where she has been holed up since the suspension order was served last Dec. 19.
