MANILA, Philippines - Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Alan Purisima on Wednesday installed five officials to key positions in the police force.
Purisima's appointment of five police officials to new posts forced a minor reorganization of third-level Police Commissioned Officers occupying key positions in the PNP.
The new PNP chief made the announcement during a simple ceremony at the PNP headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City.
Designated to new positions are Police Director Catalino Uy, acting Director for Personnel and Records Management (DPRM); Police Director Cipriano Querol Jr., acting Director For Intelligence (DI); Chief Superintendent Napoleon Estiless, acting Director for Plans (DPL); Chief Superintendent Carmelo Valmoria, acting director, Special Action Force (SAF); and Chief Superintendent Juanito Vano, acting Regional Director, Police Regional Office 9.
During the same ceremony, Purisima affirmed his support to President Benigno Aquino III's "positive change" policy.
"Those who will support positive change towards genuine police service shall be amply rewarded," Purisima said.
