NANNING, Guangxi – Organizers of the 9th China-Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Expo yesterday said the event has attracted close to 6,000 businesses from different countries, including the Philippines.
“The 9th CAEXPO has attracted a large number of enterprises for registration from home and abroad, which have requested a total of 5,710 exhibition booths, 24 percent more than the total number planned,” Chen Guokai, vice director general of the General Office of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, told a news conference.
The China-ASEAN Expo will run from today until Sept. 25.
It carries the theme “Win-win Cooperation for Common Development.”
Chen said that as of their last count, there were 2,280 exhibitors who have been accepted, with a total of 4,600 exhibition booths arranged.
