Ayala Malls win top ICSC awards

MANILA, Philippines - The Ayala Malls continues to set high standards in the Philippine shopping center industry, receiving two major awards in the prestigious International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) Asia Pacific Shopping Centers Awards Competition in Shanghai, China.

The Ayala Malls’ EAT Dining Festival won the coveted Gold Award for Marketing Excellence – Public Relations, while the Ayala Malls’ Inspire campaign bagged the Silver Award for Marketing Excellence – Cause-Related Marketing.

The Ayala Malls team, led by Bobby Dy, Ayala Land EVP and Commercial Business Group Head, together with Rowena Tomeldan, VP and Head of Operations – Commercial Business Group, and Cora Dizon, VP and Head of Business Development and Strategic Planning – Commercial Business Group, accepted the awards from ICSC president Michael Kercheval during the awarding ceremony last Sept. 11, 2012.

The Ayala Malls EAT Dining Festival is a celebration of good food and dining. In partnership with industry leaders The Philippine STAR and Bank of the Philippine Islands, the Ayala Malls brought the EAT Dining Festival straight to the heart of consumers, encouraged culinary adventures, rejuvenated Filipino cuisine, and highlighted the Ayala Malls’ prominence in the Philippine dining scene.

Ayala Malls believed that customers can make a difference by inspiring everyone to share themselves for others.

Aptly named INSPIRE, the Ayala Malls Christmas campaign aimed to generate awareness and ignite the spirit of volunteerism.

Together with six partner foundations, Ayala Malls discovered 31,000 heroes that shared the advocacy and gave back to the community, becoming heroes in their own way.

The International Council of Shopping Centers is the premier trade association of the global shopping center industry. The Asia Pacific Shopping Center Awards honors and recognizes outstanding achievement in marketing, design and development of retail properties in the Asia Pacific region.

In winning major honors from ICSC Asia Pacific Shopping Center Awards, Ayala Malls reaffirms its standing as the country’s premier shopping destination and among the world’s best.
