Robredo's aide undergoes psychiatric test
MANILA, Philippines - The aide of Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo who survived the plane crash last Aug. 18 underwent psychiatric test at the Philippine General Hospital on Taft Avenue in Manila on Wednesday morning.
A reliable source told The STAR that the psychiatric test on Senior Inspector June Paulo Abrazado was meant to check the effect of the incident on him. Abrazado is now confined at the PNP General Hospital.
Robredo’s body was found Tuesday morning while the bodies of the two pilots were recovered days later.
Meanwhile, Robredo’s wife lawyer Ma. Eleonor or Leni thanked Abrazado for his services and relayed the family’s appreciation through his father, retired Superintendent Gil Abrazado.
“I knew what he must be feeling so I texted his father. We are thankful because we know that he watched over my husband,” Leni said.
Leni also defended Abrazado, who was being blamed and criticized for Robredo’s death.
“Who is ever prepared for a plane crash? We do not expect him to save my husband and give up his life,” she said.
