Magat Dam reaches critical level

MANILA, Philippines - Magat Dam yesterday reached the critical level of 191.87 meters.

Lorna Segundo, engineering assistant of Magat Dam and Reservoir Forecasting Division, said the dam’s normal spilling level is 193 meters.

Segundo said they would release water gradually to prevent flooding.

Isabela Gov. Faustino Dy III warned residents of possible flashfloods and landslides.
