MANILA, Philippines - President Aquino has named former Presidential Commission on Good Government commissioner Gerard Mosquera as deputy Ombudsman for Luzon, replacing Francis Jardeleza, who was appointed solicitor general after Jose Cadiz resigned.
Mosquera will serve as the deputy of Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales, along with Overall Deputy Ombudsman Orlando Casimiro.
The two other deputy Ombudsmen are Pelagio Apostol for Visayas and Humphrey Monteroso for Mindanao.
Other new appointees include Magdalena Aruta, director IV of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) .
She has been a career officer at the agency since 1979, where she served as associate management specialist.
The 60-year-old Aruta obtained her sociology degree from the University of the Philippines in 1974.
Other DBM directors IV are Ma. Soledad Doloiras, Clotilde and Lorenzo Drapete, Dolores Galura, Carmencita Mahinay, Rowena Candice Ruiz, Rolando Toledo and Sofia Yanto.
Directors II are Jane Abella, Amanella Arevalo, Emelita Bailon, Elena Regina Brillantes, Dante de Chavez, Mary Anne de la Vega, Tessie Gregorio, Estrellita Layug, Mercedes Navarro, Evelyn Peralta and Teresita Salud.
