MANILA, Philippines - In his statement of assets, liabilities and net worth (SALN) filed before the Office of the Ombudsman, Vice President Jejomar Binay declared he has 12 real properties amounting to P16,878,458 and personal properties valued at P48,266,530.80 as of last Dec. 31.
Binay’s real properties include two residential lots and a residential house in Caong street in San Antonio Village 7 in Makati; residential lots in Alabang Hills, Cupang, Muntinlupa City; Victoria Homes in Tunasan, San Pedro, Laguna; Shangri-La Subdivision in Calamba, Laguna; and Alfonso, Cavite.
According to the SALN copy obtained by The STAR, the Vice President also owns agricultural lands in San Pascual, Batangas; Mariveles, Bataan; Cabagan, Isabela; and residential lots in Balayligue, Nasugbu, Batangas; and Olo-Olo, Lobo, Batangas.
Binay said he also owns a Ford Club Wagon valued at P1,567,503 and Toyota Land Cruiser worth P9,600,000. The vehicles are “subject to a lease-to-own contract of which P2,720,000 has been paid; hence, the unpaid portion for acquisition of the vehicle amounts to P6,880,000.”
He said his personal and other properties are worth P48,266,530.80, including cash on hand and in bank amounting to P21,339,723.79; receivables amounting to P3,000,000; furniture, antiques, clothing and other personal properties worth P7,166,022; jewelry amounting to P1,104,300; vehicles amounting to P10,447,503; prepaid income tax/creditable withholding tax amounting to P295,804.05 and interest in business (Blooms and Bouquet Flower Shop) owned by his wife Elenita Binay amounting to P4,193,177.96. – With Cecille Suerte Felipe, Paolo Romero
