Aquino names Romano's replacement
MANILA, Philippines – President Aquino has appointed Daniel Corpuz as acting undersecretary of the Department of Tourism, replacing Vicente Romano III who resigned after the DOT’s new slogan “Pilipinas kay Ganda” flopped before the public and stakeholders.
Deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte also announced over radio dzRB the appointments of Dr. Jose Luis Dangilan as acting executive director of the Lung Center of the Philippines under the Department of Health and Gerardo Esquivel as acting administrator of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System.
Appointed to the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Forestry and Natural Resources Research and Development under the Department of Science and Technology were Feliciano Calora Sr., Meneleo Carlos Jr., Philip Ong, Mediadora Claudio-Saniel, Reynaldo Vea, all representing the private sector, and Alvin Culaba and Fortunato Sevilla III, both representing the organization of scientists and engineers.
Delilah Deles was also named acting deputy commissioner of the National Telecommunications Commission of the Department of Transportation and Communications.
