P-Noy names 6 new directors to SBMA board
MANILA, Philippines - President Aquino has named six new directors to the board of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA).
The new directors are Benjamin Antonio III, Philip Camara, Ramon Sesdoyro, Norberto Sosa, Gerald Sam del Rosario and Francisco Licuanan. Antonio, Camara, Sesdoyro and Sosa will be representing the private sector, while Del Rosario and Licuanan will represent the business and investment sector.
Del Rosario and Licuanan replace Ricardo Coscolluela and Alvin Capino, while Antonio, Camara, Sesdoyro and Sosa replace Eddie Tamondong, Jesus Vicente Magsaysay II, Francis Garcia and Ma. Victoria Pineda.
Also yesterday, Undersecretary Abigail Valte rectified the errors committed by the office of Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa Jr. with regard to appointments announced at the Clark International Airport Corp. (CIAC), when it should have been the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP). She corrected the agency to which director general Ramon Gutierrez and several others belonged.
Gutierrez will enjoy a fixed four-year term replacing Alfonso Cusi, who recently resigned as CAAP chief.
Other appointees include Jose Ma. Fernandez, member of the board of directors, deputy directors general John Roa Andrews and Napoleon Garcia.
CAAP assistant directors general II are Elmer Pea, Wilfredo Borja, Andrew Basallote and Edgardo Castes.
Wilson Mirabana’s designation is assistant director general I.
Another mistake the OES committed was that of Senior Superintendent Hilberto Marpuri, who was appointed jail chief of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, and not BJMP director as earlier announced by Valte over government-run radio dzRB.
Over the weekend, President Aquino promoted 20 police officials and appointed 15 others to various agencies, including government-owned and controlled corporations.
He appointed nine members of the CAAP, three board members of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP), one immigration official and two Northrail executives.
Among those appointed to the NHCP board were Fe Buenaventura-Mangahas and Rene Escalante, who will both enjoy fixed four-year terms, while Ferdinand Llanes will be serving only for three years.
Eric Dimaculangan was appointed acting executive director at the immigration bureau. The two Northrail executives are chairman Jose Martin Aliling and member Daniel Henares.
The promoted police officials include Raul Lim Castañeda, who is now deputy director general, Directors Rommel Heredia and Felicisimo Khu, Chief Superintendents Cristino Campanilla, Melito Mabilin, Melchor Fajardo and Silvestre Primero.
The senior superintendents are Mariano Botanciela Jr., Domingo Cabilan, Eduardo Castillejos Jr., Reynaldo Magtajos, Joselito Niccodemus, Nicerio Obaob, Jonathan Perez, Florendo Quibuyen, Gerardo Ratuita, Shepard Reyes, Melchor Reyes and Jonathan Ureta.
Chief Superintendent Victorino Panganiban Jr. is now a director.
