Noy makes 35 new appointments

MANILA, Philippines - President Aquino promoted yesterday 20 police officials and named 15 others to various agencies, including government-owned and controlled corporations.

He appointed nine members of the Clark International Airport Corp. (CIAC), three board members of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP), one immigration official and two Northrail executives.

Among those named to the NHCP board were Fe Buenaventura-Mangahas and Rene Escalante, who will both enjoy a fixed four-year term, while the third - Ferdinand Llanes - will be serving only for three years.

Eric Dimaculangan was appointed acting executive director at the Bureau of Immigration.

The nine CIAC officials include director general Ramon Gutierrez, who has a fixed four-year term, replacing Alfonso Cusi, and Jose Ma. Fernandez, member of the board of directors, deputy directors general John Roa Andrews and Napoleon Garcia.

CIAC assistant directors general II are Elmer Peña, Wilfredo Borja, Andrew Basallote and Edgardo Castes.

Wilson Mirabana’s designation is assistant director general I. The two Northrail executives are chairman Jose Martin Aliling and member Daniel Henares.

The promoted police officials include Deputy Director General Raul Lim Castañeda, Directors Rommel Heredia and Felicisimo Khu, Chief Superintendents Cristino Campanilla, Melito Mabilin, Melchor Fajardo and Silvestre Primero.

The senior superintendents are Mariano Botanciela Jr., Domingo Cabilan, Eduardo Castillejos Jr., Reynaldo Magtajos, Joselito Niccodemus, Nicerio Obaob, Jonathan Perez, Florendo Quibuyen, Gerardo Ratuita, Shepard Reyes, Melchor Reyes and Jonathan Ureta.

Chief Superintendent Victorino Panganiban Jr. is now a director.
