2 more hit lotto jackpot
MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) online lottery recently produced two more millionaires who won the Grand Lotto and Super Lotto draws.
Manny Garcia, PCSO publicity and advertising manager, said the latest winner hit the Grand Lotto winning number combination 30-37-28-24-23-19 with a P45,854,380.80 jackpot.
The winning ticket was bought from a Lucky Circle lotto booth located at the ground floor of SM City in Cebu City.
Another player from Quezon City who bought his ticket along Commonwealth Avenue won the P16-million jackpot of the 6/45 Super Lotto draw last Sunday with the winning combination 09-07-44-31-25-37.
“The PCSO continues to produce multimillionaires at the same time generating much needed charity funds,” Garcia said.
Last week, a 60-year-old balikbayan from New York City claimed the P741,176,323.20 jackpot for the 6/55 Grand Lotto draw last Nov. 29.
Jose Ferdinand Rojas II, PCSO general manager, told The STAR that the winner and his family were shopping at the Royal Duty Free when he decided to buy five sets of lucky pick tickets.
“He has been a lotto fan in the US,” he said.
Rojas said the winner, married and a devout Catholic, planned to donate a portion of his winnings to charity and his relatives in the Philippines and put the rest in the bank. He was to return to the US and retire from his work.
He will return to the Philippines after one year to live on the interest of his winnings.
“It took only an hour, the winner got the jackpot prize intact,” Rojas said.
The winning number combination 11-16-42-47-31-37 was bought at the Nicetas Garcia outlet at the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority in Olongapo City.
