Filipino artist to create world's largest mosaic

CEBU, Philippines - Photojournalist and artist Revoli Cortez is creating the world’s largest mosaic from photos of former president Corazon C. Aquino. 

Cortez said the endeavor aims to break the current world’s largest photo mosaic certified by the World Records Academy on June 6, 2009.

He is calling on those who have photographs of the late president to send him their photos. 

“We need your photos of the late president. Your photos can be part of the photo-mosaic (measuring 300 ft x 200 ft) to be unfurled in time for her 1st death anniversary. Please email your photos to [email protected] / [email protected],” Cortez said in a statement furnished to The FREEMAN.

Cortez added that in return for their photos, the contributing photographers will be acknowledged by having their names printed on the mosaic.

The mosaic is set to be unveiled on July 31 by the late president’s family and friends. — THE FREEMAN
